Haywood County population increases in the summer as residents return from their winter homes and tourists seek us out for vacation. Maggie Valley is host to the Ghost Town in the Sky theme park and Cataloochee Ski Resort and Ranch, and Maggie Valley Club.

You will find the shopping fantastic, the golf courses unlike any other, & the restaurants delicious...from gourmet to down home BBQ – we have it all!

Experience unique galleries, antiques, outdoor activities, festivals, golf, skiing, white-water rafting, motorcycle rallies, clogging, plays, etc., and nearby towns like Waynesville offers 24 hour grocery shopping! Historic Asheville is only 35 minutes drive. There you will find the Biltmore House, shopping malls and more boutiques offering plenty of Mountain Heritage to take home.

If you have been used to heavy traffic you will find our pace to be a little slower and definitely not as congested. However, transportation is a high priority and our infrastructure has been updated to handle our growth. The Asheville Airport is about a 35 minute drive from the Maggie Valley.

The area supports the ARTS and you will find Asheville as the hub of region. We are able to attract and support a wide variety of performers. Our eclectic group of residents provide for the arts in a way that larger cities would like to experience.
