County property owners have until 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, to appeal the value placed on their real property to the Board of Equalization and Review. Meanwhile, filling out the form at the bottom of the new value notices will trigger a meeting with the individual who did the property appraisal and could result in an administrative change. Issues considered in the appeal include:
1). physical changes on buildings or on land
2). change in the legally permitted use of property
3). incorrect information on property or the tax value exceeds market value for the 2006 reappraisal year.
